Take a Campus Tour

Visiting Lewis & Clark is the best way to get to know us. Our three campuses—undergraduate, graduate, and law—are nestled in a forest just six miles from downtown Portland, and we have a free shuttle that will take you there.

Our undergraduate campus spans a ravine and is surrounded by trees, giving you ample space to explore and connect with nature.

Our law school is located next door to Tryon Creek State Park, which is where you’ll find members of our community hiking the 13 miles of stunning nature trails.

And our graduate school has an expansive green lawn that serves as a backyard, commonly listed as our students’ favorite place on campus. It’s also where our bee garden is housed!

Lewis & Clark is located in the lush hills of South Portland, the city’s “sixth quadrant.” But our beautiful campuses aren’t the entire story—our location offers something that most other schools do not: an ideal setting in a vibrant, progressive city with endless networking, entertainment, and cultural resources.

It’s impossible to provide an exhaustive list of things to do and see in a city as vibrant and diverse as Portland. We can promise you this, though: you won’t lack for great opportunities to have fun.

I love the duality in energy and atmosphere that Portland’s music scene offers. I really like being able to go from the floor-shaking concerts in big venues to neighborhood jazz performers in hole-in-the-wall restaurants.

What do borders do to us and for us? How do borders influence our experiences with physical space, identity, relationship, culture, access? When might they distance us from others… and when might they serve connection and community? Community Dialogues offer an opportunity for small, structured conversation as we explore our various experiences and values. This dialogue is part of the 21st Annual Ray Warren Symposium on Race and Ethnic Studies.
